“Airport Spotlight”

Council Bluffs Municipal Airport - CBF

This month, we’re excited to shine the spotlight on our newest Apex Aero Center location — Council Bluffs Municipal Airport (CBF).

Located just minutes from Omaha and conveniently positioned along the Missouri River, CBF serves a strong mix of corporate, general aviation, and flight training activity. With two paved runways and a growing aviation community, the airport plays an important role in connecting Western Iowa and Eastern Nebraska.

As the new FBO operator at CBF, our team is focused on delivering the same high level of pilot and passenger care that defines Apex Aero Center across our network. We’re excited about the opportunities ahead and grateful to be part of the CBF aviation community.

If you’re based at CBF or planning a stop through, we look forward to welcoming you on the ramp!

Winter Fly-in/Drive-in

Chili Feed at PVB

February may have brought cold weather, but things were warm on the ramp at Platteville Municipal Airport during this year’s Chili Fly-In. Thank you to everyone who flew in, drove in, and helped make the event a success. We are grateful for such an engaged and supportive airport community.

Milestone Moment

Congratulations to GPH Line Service Technician Rylan on successfully passing his check ride last month. Rylan is pictured with his ATD flight instructor, Tyler, who also lends a hand at GPH when needed. We’re proud to see our team continuing to grow in their aviation careers.

Airplanes & Coffee at TRL!

On Saturday, April 11th from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., join us at Terrell Municipal Airport (TRL) for Airplanes and Coffee! We’ll kick things off with Aviation Coffee Co and fresh donuts, plus a $100 Hamburger Fundraiser to support the A&C Scholarship Program. Expect a full day of aviation fun with vendors and sponsors, discovery flights, and activities for all ages. Don’t miss this chance to connect, learn, and give back!

One Team, Multiple Ramps

During the GOK runway project, Christopher and L’Trell spent time supporting operations at GPH in Kansas City. It was a great opportunity to step into another Apex location, strengthen teamwork across airports, and gain a fresh perspective on our operation.

Ramp Views

Life on the ramp comes with long days, changing weather, and wide-open horizons. It’s hard work — but views like this are part of what makes it worth it! Thank you to Luke at TRL for sharing!

“Runway Rockstar” at GOK

Not your everyday ramp visitor. The Kaman K-MAX helicopter stopped in during the GOK runway project, giving the team a front-row look at one of the most unique heavy-lift helicopters flying today. With its signature twin intermeshing rotors and impressive lifting power, it was a highlight moment. Thank you L’Trell for this great shot!
