Apex Team Spotlight:

PVB General Manager, Rison Pereira

Meet Rison Pereira, the General Manager of Apex Aero Center at PVB! Originally from Tracy, California, Rison has always had aviation in his blood. Growing up next to a small Class G airport, he became fascinated with the business side of airport operations, curious about what made them tick and how they could run more efficiently.

Rison took that early passion and turned it into a career. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management from the University of Dubuque, where he also competed as a collegiate cross country and track athlete. The drive, discipline, and leadership he developed as a runner now fuel his role at PVB, where he's helping take Apex to new heights.

When he's not managing daily operations or enhancing the customer experience, Rison enjoys staying active outdoors. He’s an avid hiker, gym enthusiast, and loves spending time with friends. A dedicated sports fan, you can catch him cheering on the San Diego Padres and Miami Dolphins whenever he gets the chance. He's always up for exploring new places and meeting new people something that makes him a perfect fit in the dynamic world of FBOs. We’re proud to have Rison leading the team at PVB!

Apex - Stronger Together

At Apex Aero Center, safety isn’t just a priority it’s a shared commitment. This month, our General Managers from across our Apex network came together for a comprehensive safety audit at our GPH location.

The visit wasn’t just about checklists and protocols it was about teamwork. By bringing together diverse perspectives and experience from each location, the team was able to identify strengths, discuss challenges, and share best practices that can be applied across the board. From ramp operations to hangar procedures, every detail was reviewed with one goal in mind: ensuring the highest level of safety for our team, tenants, and guests.

This kind of collaboration reinforces our belief that we’re better when we work together. By taking the time to support one another and focus on continuous improvement, our GMs are leading by example and setting the standard for what it means to operate safely and effectively.

Runway Rockstar at GPH

We recently had the privilege of welcoming a Gulfstream G600 on an Angel Flight mission at Midwest National Air Center - GPH. While the aircraft itself turned heads with its sleek design and long-range capability, it was the purpose behind the flight that truly made it a Runway Rockstar moment.

Angel Flight is a network of volunteer pilots and nonprofit organizations that provide free air transportation for patients who need to travel long distances for medical care. These flights help eliminate the financial and logistical barriers many families face when accessing life-saving treatment.

This particular mission was a powerful reminder of the good aviation can do. We're proud to support these efforts at GPH and deeply grateful to the generous pilots who donate their time, skill, and aircraft to serve others in their time of need. Thank you to this exceptional crew for choosing GPH as part of your journey. Your mission inspires us all.

GOK Hosts a Heartwarming Rescue Mission

Guthrie Edmond Regional Airport - GOK was proud to support three recent Freedom Flights that gave  eleven dogs a second chance at life. These animals were pulled from the euthanasia list at area shelters. Kudos to the coordinated efforts by Brown County Humane Society, Pawsitive Vybez, Pawsitive Tails Dog Rescue, Rock Knoll Animal HospitalPilots N Paws, The Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport and Apex Aero Center

Every step from vet visits for health certificates to lining up fosters is powered by volunteers. Pilots donate time, fuel, and aircraft; transporters cover their own costs and handle the logistics. Our Apex team at GOK went above and beyond to make this mission possible, even allowing direct ramp access for the transport team. Because of this incredible teamwork, eleven dogs are on their way to better lives and GOK is now one of the preferred launch point for future flights.
