Apex Team Spotlight:

L’Trell Hogan

Line Service Tech, GOK

Say hello to L’Trell Hogan, a proud Central Oklahoma native and a rising star at our Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport location.

L’Trell’s love for aviation started young never missing a fly-in or airshow and always finding ways to be around aircraft. He got his start in aviation detailing planes and still enjoys it on his days off, showing that being around airplanes is something he truly enjoys.

Since joining Apex Aero Center, L’Trell’s eye for detail, strong work ethic, and positive attitude have made a big impression. GOK General Manager Justin Skaggs shared, “L’Trell has a natural understanding of what it takes to care for aircraft. He’s focused, reliable, and always takes pride in doing the job right. His enthusiasm is contagious, and our regulars noticed it right away. He’s become a real asset to our team in a short amount of time.”

Outside of work, L’Trell enjoys fishing and playing the saxophone. We’re proud to have him on the team!

Apex Activity Roundup

Freedom Flight Update from GOK!

The very first Freedom Flight out of Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport was a special one. Pilot Joe flew mama dog “Margo” and her pups to safety—and just one month later, he returned to adopt her! Now Margo has a forever home with the very pilot who saved her. A beautiful full-circle moment for everyone involved! Thank you to the coordinated efforts by Brown County Humane Society, Pawsitive Vybez, Pawsitive Tails Dog Rescue, Rock Knoll Animal HospitalPilots N Paws, The Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport and Apex Aero Center  for making this rescue and heartwarming reunion possible.

Runway Rockstar at GPH

A sleek Cirrus SR22 with an amazing custom paint job made a stop at Apex Aero Center – GPH, and it definitely turned heads on the ramp. From the moment it touched down, this beauty had everyone doing a double take. We love seeing unique and well-loved aircraft visit our facilities, and this one was no exception. Whether you're a pilot, an enthusiast, or just someone who appreciates great design, this SR22 was a showstopper. Big thanks to Arris Pardalos, our General Manager at GPH, for capturing this great shot. Keep an eye out… you never know what will taxi in next!

Aerobatics Meet & Greet at GOK

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Fly-In Meet & Greet at GOK! Despite the windy weather, we still had a nice turnout and an even better time connecting with fellow aviation enthusiasts. Big thanks to IAC Chapter 142 – Oklahoma Rolling Thunder for sharing their passion for aerobatics and giving us a glimpse into the thrilling world of precision flying. Missed this one? No worries, more events are on the horizon! Keep an eye out for future fly-ins and gatherings at Guthrie/Edmond Regional Airport. We’d love to see you on the ramp!
